Ah, the Feast of St. Blaise! I remember getting that! Hadn't thought of it in years. Perhaps yer pa might remember too.
They put two candles tied together with a red ribbon to make a V; the priest put the open end of the V up to your neck and said a blessing. We filed out of the classroom into the nearby church during school time to get blessed. I think the nun said something about being protected from bones getting stuck in your throat. Made ya wanna become a vegetarian.
