In which spring has sprung!

(...even though the grass has been green the entire time I've been here, and there is never a dearth of birds!)

I've gotten horrid at updating this. Oh well? I had a midterm essay due this morning at 9, and I've got another (plus a journal of sorts) due tomorrow, and then a third due a week from Friday, so I think I should get a LITTLE slack in the updating department. Also, I spent all last week traveling with slash hanging out with Hallie. Which was lovely*!

Until I get around to writing a real update, I'm sending out links to our photos from Paris and from back in Ireland. It may be awhile yet...aside from the midterms, I'm going to Limerick with the choir this weekend (some sort of competition?) and the following week I'm *drumroll* meeting Hallie and Lis in Amsterdam to see a Vienna concert {must not think about must not think about must not think about or I wouldn't get anything done out of pure excitement}.

I hope March is treating everyone well! Our daffodils are blooming and some trees have decided to flower as well. It was positively warm yesterday, but today is a bit gray and drizzly (dray and grizzly) and a good day to be *cough* writing an essay in the library.

In which I artificially inflate my photo-posting frequency!

FYI, album three (from the Oxford trip) is now up.

Also, for those of you dying of curiosity, the sentence in the last journal post is meant to end with "C. S. Lewis!" --I got distracted by realizing that it was time to go catch my bus (which, incidentally, didn't arrive until an hour and a half later, which was two minutes after the substitute bus had arrived).

In which I haven't posted in ages.

So the weekend before last I went to Oxford to see Lis. Due to various traveling adventures, I didn't really write about it much, and then due to various "finishing summer applications" and "right, time to catch up on reading for classes" endeavors, I never caught up in writing about it. I was planning to post when I'd finished writing, but...at this rate, it isn't ever happening. So! I'm going to post what I've written, and then I'm going to post the photo album from the trip, and then I'm going to catch up (in typing!) when I next have a chance. Which could be tomorrow or could be in two weeks, as I'm about to get super busy with (a) Paris for Hallie's birthday!!! (b) Hallie coming back to Ireland with me after Paris!!! and (c) a bunch of midterm essays due the following week (anti-!!!).

In which I finally deal with photos!

So I wrote this last Sunday when I legitimately thought I'd be posting them. And then they took a long time to load and I ran out of tea and had already been there for hours so left. So! When it says "I'm currently in Mocha Beans" that was as of nearly a week ago. The TRUE "currently" is that I'm in the library, fighting with the scanner (why won't it work?) and waiting for class at 11 and then a bus --> plane --> bus --> Oxford with Lis! Assuming that Luton opens again (flights up until noon were cancelled, but mine arrives at three, so...). Enjoy!

***

I'm currently in Mocha Beans (seriously, when am I not?) in Salthill. This one plays Beatles rather than Abba, and it turns out that Waterloo:Dancing::Let It Be:Singing* (as in, there are at least two of the four people around me singing it right now).

So here's the deal with photos: Picasa is stupid. It won't allow me to allow individual access to my albums without sending you an email as well. Dumb, huh? Because if I'm going to send an email, I might as well just send you the link outright and not bother with the whole "now you need to sign in as a Google user!" deal. There has to be a better way to do this!

Anyway, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to post album covers for the first two albums. I'm then going to send an email to all family/anyone who sent me google info for seeing photo albums/assorted folk who made it onto the list by fairy dust. If you don't fall into either of those categories and you still want to see the pictures, send me an email! If you do fall into either of those categories but no longer want to see the pictures, send me an email! If you want to tell me about the fabulous time you had last Thursday or the amusing thing you saw on the way to class three weeks ago, send me an email! Or leave a comment. Whatever. If I don't know you but you are spying on me by reading my journal, um. Please don't be creepy? Or send me an email?

Without further ado, let me FINALLY post my first two albums:

Galway Sights I

and

Ireland ~ Cliffs of Moher, etc

*For those of you that haven't had to deal with SATs in the last ten years and so have selectively forgotten about this, ":" means "is to" and "::" means "as"

In which I fight my internet and lose. No pictures tonight, folks!
